They live in the high areas of the Talamanca Reserve, between the provinces of Cartago and Limón, a small community in Ujarrás de Buenos Aires de Puntarenas. They know a lot about medicinal plants, they have dances, hunting, fishing and a deep-rooted culture and tradition like the Bribris. After the bribri, they are the indigenous ethnic group with the largest number of individuals in the country.
What to do
We leave depending on the distance 5:00, 6:00 or 7:00 in the morning.
You go to breakfast at a place on the route or with the same producers or indigenous people. You will get to know the landscape, culture, cultivation and other centers of interest in the area. Lunch is served with one of the organized groups using local products, traditional dishes and healthy soft drinks. Participate in cultural activities and have talks, exchange of experiences, purchase of items at a fair price, etc.
